Position Overview:

The R2R Lead (Record-to-Report) is responsible for overseeing financial close activities while actively handling complex accounting areas. The role involves reviewing outputs, resolving escalations, and ensuring all accounts are accurately reconciled and ready for reporting, while also supporting team members in day-to-day activities.

What you’ll do as an R2R Lead (Record-to-Report):

• Oversee month-end close activities and ensure completion within defined timelines
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and account balances for accuracy
• Handle complex or unresolved accounting issues and escalations
• Ensure all accounts are properly supported prior to reporting
• Guide team members on reconciliation and close activities
• Review team outputs and provide feedback where required
• Act as escalation point for accounting issues
• Coordinate with stakeholders for reporting requirements and audit support
• Identify recurring issues and improve close processes

What you will bring to the team:

Requirements

• 4 – 6 years of experience in R2R / General Ledger
• Strong experience of managing:
  • Financial close cycles (Accounting & Reporting)
  • Account reviews and reconciliations
• Ability to review and validate accounting outputs
• Experience guiding or supporting team members
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and controls
• Experience working with ERP systems and reporting tools

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Finance preferred), or an equivalent qualification / certification (Preferably Articles from A rated Firm), CMA/CA part qualified, ACCA qualified
